About
Cyclonic Fury is a blog about tropical cyclones worldwide, with a focus on the North Atlantic and eastern Pacific basins. My name is Daulton Bahm, and I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from North Carolina State University in 2021. Blog posts include my thoughts on active storms, as well as my forecasts for them. The blog has regular posts from May 15 to November 30, with occasional off-season posts. Cyclonic Fury was launched on May 15, 2017, prior to the start of the hyperactive 2017 Atlantic hurricane season. This blog is strictly about tropical weather, as well as the weather oscillations that drive it. I also typically release three pre-season Atlantic hurricane forecasts each year (one in late March, one in late May, and one in late July).
Users are free to comment their honest thoughts on my posts. Constructive criticism is encouraged; however, comments not related to the post or tropical weather in general will be deleted.
DISCLAIMER: I try to make my forecasts as accurate as possible, and look at many different factors in making my tropical cyclone forecasts. However, my forecasts are not official, as they are mine alone. For official forecasts, please consult the National Hurricane Center. In addition, I may not be able to post every day.
