Tropical Storm Henri weakens after it makes landfall in western Rhode Island
Tropical Storm Henri, which became a minimal hurricane on Saturday, made landfall near Westerly, Rhode Island around 12:15 p.m. EDT Sunday. Maximum sustained winds at landfall were estimated to be 50 knots (60 mph), with an estimated minimum pressure of 989 mb. Since that time, Henri has weakened quickly as it has moved inland.
